Stephanie, her coworkers Donna and Theresa, and her friend Jacqueline enjoyed volunteering for Gleaner’s Community Food Bank the evening of Friday, October 14 at the annual charity Detroit Uncorked premier wine tasting event, benefiting Gleaner’s. On Saturday, September 10th, I delivered bags of groceries around downtown Detroit to elderly, low-income individuals. This was part of an on-going ministry through St. Aloysius Church.
On Sunday, September 18th, I ran in a 5K to raise awareness for Neurofibromatosis (NF). Our friend’s son has NF-1; we run to support him and to raise awareness and funds to find a cure.
The Birmingham RAP Squad held an old-fashioned lemonade stand on August 30th and 31st and raised approximately $1,320 which was matched by generous sponsors!! I helped make Birmingham’s Lemonade Stand for Gleaners a Success! We ran the lemonade stand over two days and raised $1,297.65 for Gleaners. That comes out to over 5,000 meals for hungry children.
