Packaged Meals for Stop Hunger Now

On Feb. 7, I joined in a volunteer effort that packaged 30,000 meals that will be distributed worldwide to schools, orphanages, and crisis centers as part of the Stop Hunger Now project (http://www.stophungernow.org/).  This work effort was held at Cherrydale United Methodist Church, Arlington, VA, and members of the congregation and the Boy Scout troops that meet at the church assembled food packets containing rice, soy (protein), dehydrated vegetables, and a flavoring mix with that includes 23 essential vitamins and minerals into 6-serving meal packages.
