Ronald McDonald House “Meals from the Heart” Program

Melissa Marshall volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House in Oak Lawn, Illinois on Monday, May 16.

Melissa, along with her mom and sister (Kim), participated in the “Meals from the Heart” program and cooked dinner for the 45 families currently staying at the home. The meal allowed the families to unwind, de-stress and fortify their bodies to be at their best for their child in the hospital.

About Meals from the Heart:
Volunteers work as a group (up to 10 people) to plan the menu, purchase the ingredients and prepare the meal in our fully equipped kitchen, allowing families to find nourishment and comfort in a shared meal.
